Most people are either living in the past or living in the future, but never in the present moment; and there’s nothing wrong with spending time in a place that once existed or a place that hasn’t been created, but don’t miss the present moment. Because living in the past stops you from moving forward, and living in the future stops you from living in the moment. Aristotle once said, young men talk about the future because they have no past; but old men talk about the past because they have no future.
The past and the future are a gift, but what can turn them into a burden is the way we perceive them, how long we remain in them, and how we spend our time with them. My invitation to you..is to visit the past, visit the future, but live the present moment.
There is a story about a person who went to a Zen master and requested him to teach him Zen. The master started pouring tea for his guest. Soon, the teacup was full, but he continued to pour. It started overflowing.
The person told him, “Please stop pouring, don’t you see the cup is full?” The master smiled and said, “You are like the cup. You are already too full. You have to empty your cup before I can teach you Zen.”
Sometimes you have to unlearn what you have learned to see the opportunity in a new light. So it is in the world of business. Business leaders and managers call such an approach by many names — ‘Zero-based budgeting’, where you don’t let the past dictate how to plan for the future; ‘Re-engineering’, where you fundamentally rethink and radically redesign the processes.
“And then you meet someone and you life changes forever.”
It always haunts me how our time together is running out like grains of sand from my clenched fists. The clock is ticking so fast. I so much want to hold you a bit longer, a bit more tight and how I wish this moment doesn’t become past tense. But do all wishes come true?
I know not what future has in store for us but believe me when I say there will be no day when you will not cross my mind and no second when I will not think of you. My time will halt, to cherish you. Need I say more?
It goes unsaid that in the darkest hour of our life, we shine the most. If you look at the rain, it teaches you not to hide, but shine at the places you don’t belong to. You need to come out of your comfort zone to understand your true potential. You only become aware of your inherent abilities when the things are odd. Overcoming your fears and fighting against them will surely give you immense amount of pleasure because it is then you realize how tough you are from the inside.
The problem with us these days is that we take everything for granted. This is the reason why happy moments no longer seem happy anymore, and we begin to lose every hope when life becomes tough. We want miracles to happen and hope for a better future. Although it is good to be inquisitive, but you know asking too many questions and not trying to get a single answer is also not going to help.
At times it happen that the blurred pictures are the most beautiful and the people with sad past make the most beautiful future. So, hold the thread of hope. It is just the beginning and the beginning needs strength. Believe in yourself first if you want others to believe in you.
I know not what the future has in store for me but I’m counting on you. I am actually clueless about your plans and I do not know how the next few months will turn out to be but I’m counting on you to provide me the strength and patience to get through it. I have no idea if you will answer my prayers or if you will throw a curve-ball at me when I am least prepared for it. I don’t know if you wish to give me a break or you have planned a difficult test for me.
Since long I am actually trying to handle everything that I can in the best possible way. I’ve been trying to connect all the dots, trying to visualize the bigger picture and follow the signs you’ve been sending me through, but now I’m tired. My brain is tired. My soul is tired.
I don’t know what the future holds but I’m longing for stability. I’m ready for peace. I know that either way, I’ll be fine and I’ll always count on you. I know you are always there to guide me through the tough times but I’m asking for leeway this time. Let there be a miracle which would lift all the heaviness and burdens.
I’m counting on your generosity, on your forgiveness, on your benevolence and your magnificent surprises. I don’t know what the future holds for me but all I know is that there’s nothing you can’t do or can’t fix. So help me see the brighter picture of life. Help me live!
After ending the relationship, life becomes so depressing. We begin asking ourselves if they ever loved us in the first place, if they ever meant when they said that love never fades away, it is forever.
If you also think so, remember that love does not fade away, people do not change, it is the circumstance, it is the life that takes a turn at the wrong time. So, simply trust them when they tell you that once, they loved you madly, once you were their world, you meant everything for them. Time has its own plans. All you can do is just trust the vibes and let the person go. Let the memories stay, but do not stay entangled in the memories as it would become a chain for your future. Take a look on the brighter side of life and enjoy the little moments because You Only Live Once.
Be brave to be alone. By alone I mean not depending on someone else for your happiness, by alone I mean a future where your goals rely on you, by alone I mean strolling on a beach barefoot with sand between your feet and winds rustling past your face.
Be brave enough to love yourself. Love yourself enough to walk away, say no when you have had too much, smile at your own reflection when life feels grim. Be brave enough to be there for your own self. Have the power to wipe your own tears when you have no one beside you but a human-sized ache resting next to you. Hold your falling pieces together because if you don’t then you will fall apart and there will be no one to save you.
Be brave enough to be the right person for yourself because if you are brave to do what’s right for you, then you will never feel lonely even when you are alone.
